Monolithic glass is the basic form of glass commonly used in the construction industry. Its thickness can vary depending on the application and specific requirements, typically ranging from 3mm to 19mm according to structural needs. Monolithic glass is produced using the FLOAT process, where molten glass floats and moves over a bed of molten tin, resulting in a smooth and flat glass surface. Main processing options for monolithic glass include: cutting, polishing, heat strengthening, tempering, bending, and serving as a base for more advanced products such as insulated glass units (IGUs) and laminated glass (triplex). Monolithic glass can be produced in three main types: Clear Low-Iron (extra-clear) Tinted (Gray, blue, green, bronze)
